Arthros

Members of our team have been working with the Reading-based arthritis charity Arthros to reinvigorate and reposition them.

Arthros was founded in 1990 by a staff nurse, who saw first hand the difficulties that severe arthritis sufferers faced. More than thirty years on the charity still had most of its original trustees, and was in bad need of a refit to make it ready for the next 30. Martha Cox worked with consultant Julie Close to provide the service to Arthros, and Steve Faragher contributed expertise.

Working with the Board of Arthros, our partners:

  • researched existing provision

  • developed a new Policy Framework

  • recruited and trained new Trustees

  • set up a small grants programme

  • And co-produced a strategy detailing the way forward

Developing Health And Independence 25th Anniversary celebration

Steve Faragher worked with Bath-based charity DHI to produce exhibition boards and a booklet to support DHI’s 25th anniversary celebrations. The exhibition was centred around 25 photographs taken by photographer Darius Jéan.

“The booklet and boards are fantastic, thank you” said Rosie Phillips, CEO of DHI.

Summer 2022

Queen Mary University of London, Covidence UK

In many ways the birth of The Wind In Your Sails as an idea, Steve Faragher put together a team of colleagues to help produce striking marketing materials for this important Covid survey, designed to encourage people to take part. The team also managed to secure free advertising slots across Future Publishing’s online and print portfolio, bringing the message to millions of people.

Professor Adrian Martineau, head of the research project, said: “We are super-grateful for all the support you and your colleagues gave us, it was a real game-changer and helped us to build interest in the study – getting 20,000 participants overshot our target of 12,000 and gave us maximum statistical power for our analyses. I got personal emails from Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance commenting on the value of the research for shaping policy, so that just illustrates what we were able to achieve with everyone’s help.”
